idk what I was expecting, but this video really feels like it's genuinely directly towards new skaters who genuinely dont even know where to begin, which ai can completely understand. new hobbies can be hard to get into, and videos that offer genuinely beginner level advice is rare. great content

The only real reason why I like to set my board down is because I don’t want to put any more unwanted pressure on my bearings and yes you do put hella pressure on them when doing tricks but isn’t the point of getting good at a trick so that you can do it hella easy? Wouldn’t that in turn make it a lot easier on your board? So an experienced skater can help the lifespan of their bearings by just doing the tricks better and with less force applied. Beginners can extend the lifespan in other ways. Or at least that’s how I see it

My problem is that I’m inside the ramp and cannot control my heels to lean straight above it, do you have any advice ?

This is great. I feel like the speed boost you get in the “just crouching” scenario is from the fact that your crouching motion stops *before* the end of the ramp. At the moment when you get to the bottom of your crouching motion, your body ends up pushing against the earth to decelerate the downward crouching motion. So the pure crouch is really like a stealth push. If you had a shorter ramp and your crouching down movement ended on the flat ground rather than on the ramp, you probably wouldn’t get the speed boost.

Definitely be careful of experienced skaters. Their lines are naturally longer because they do bigger tricks so you need to make sure you have an idea of where people are and where they’re headed so you don’t get in their way when their gaining speed. Especially at smaller parks.

Also a good idea to wear protective gear anytime your learning something new or trying to push yourself. You’ll get sick of scraping your knees pretty quickly

My thing is that its not about looking good but over time you will automatically learn how to push that looks not awkward. Just be comfortable on your board

Manuals and Caspers are awesome. Also I'd say just rolling fakey is a trick on it's own and probably harder to learn than the manual.

Nothing wrong with looking like a beginner. Learning is part of the process.
